Bene, Yvonne (née Ménard) Born in Lochalsh, Ontario on July 21, 1940, she passed away surrounded by family at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury on April 24, 2025 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Joseph (Joe) Bene and loving partner of Real Paquette. Pre-deceased by her parents Léo Arthur Ménard and Aurore Stella Ménard (née Gauthier) and by her parents-in-law George and Elise Bene. Dear sister of Doris (Doreen) Merkas (late Walter) of Garson and Marie-Paule Roberge (late Roland) of Elliot Lake. Loving mother of Sharon-Aurore Bene of Selkirk, Brian Bene of Sudbury, Joanne Dowdall (Gary) of Worthington, Robert Bene of Sault Ste. Marie, Daniel Bene (Kelly) of Marathon and Dennis Bene (Mae) of Brampton. Dear grandmother of Jason, David Jr. (Laura), Shane (Angela), Michael (Kim), Cristian, Shanda-Lee (Dustin), Brandon (Annie Lyne), Samuel, Daniel Jr.(Ashley), Austin, Kassandra, Kara, Matthew, Tyler & Vanessa. Also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws. Friends will be received at the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre (36 Ontario Ave) on Wednesday April 30 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday May 1, 2025 at 12 pm from Paroisse Ste. Bernadette Parish. Father Patrick Okenyi officiating. Cremation to follow. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Huron Lodge or St. Joseph’s Foundation of Elliot Lake would be appreciated by the family.
