McClelland, Robert Lloyd (Lloyd)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Uncle Lloyd McClelland-affectionately known to us as “the old grump” on January 7th, 2025 in his 89th year at St Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake.

Lloyd was born in Iron Bridge, Ontario on March 15, 1936. Lloyd is predeceased by his siblings, Beverly, George, Barry (Elsie), Jean (Bill), and Kenneth (Lorraine) and survived by his youngest brother Rodney (Joanne).

He will be sorely missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was well known for his wit and humor. He was an avid historian; he loved the family tree and knowing his roots. He had a phenomenal memory, our go to for details. He loved books, bridge and music.

We would like to thank the staff of St Joseph’s General Hospital for their excellent care and attention.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre. Internment at a later date in Woodlands Cemetery, Elliot Lake.
