It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the sudden passing of Myrtle De Young at the St. Joseph's General Hospital in Elliot Lake on Monday April 5, 2021 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Lawrence De Young of Elliot Lake. Loving mother of Lisa De Young (Kevin), Tammy den Bok (Glenn) & Angel De Young (John), all of Mississauga. Dear grandmother of Chantel, Samantha, Tyler, Noah, step grandmother of Jamie, Luke & great grandmother of Carter. Predeceased by her parents Allen & Belma Darby. Also survived by her brother Arthur Darby (Robin), sisters Arlene Fraser (Ron), Linda Grieg (Bob), sister-in-law Dorothy De Young & numerous nieces & nephews. A private visitation will be held at the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre (36 Ontario Ave). Funeral mass will be celebrated at Paroisse Ste. Bernadette Parish in Elliot Lake on Tuesday April 13, 2021 at 11 am. Private interment to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Thornhill, ON. Memorial contributions to the Elliot Lake Foodbank would be appreciated by the family.
