Maurice Ethier

Ethier, Maurice Joseph Richard - It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Maurice Ethier on August 29, 2023 at the North Shore Health Network - Blind River site at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Susan Ethier (nee Fitzpatrick) and devoted father to Maurice Ethier Jr (Pam) of Blind River, grandfather of Amber Dubé (Lee Hannon) and, great grandfather of Blake and Kallie. Pre-deceased by his parents Edmund and Jeanne (nee Lemieux) Ethier and brother of Jean-Paul, the late Marie Carnell (Wayne) , André Ethier (Margaret), Alice Luc (Martin) and the late Gilles (Hannalie). Dear friend of Carolaine Fortin and Claude Roy.
Maurice was larger than life and after 25 years with Ontario Hydro he never missed a beat and his continued passion of trapping for over 50 years, and began grooming the local snowmobile trails. Maurice groomed snow machine trails for several years and received the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs District Operational Volunteer Award. Out of respect for Maurice's wishes, cremation has taken place.
The family would like to acknowledge the hospital staff at the NSHN - Blind River site and Dr Naccarato. Your kindness and professionalism is beyond words.
