Margaret Rose Smallwood

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret Rose Smallwood (née Wright) at the St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake on Monday November 4, 2024 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of 65 years to Charles (Charlie) Smallwood of Elliot Lake. Loving mother of Greg Smallwood (Susan) of Ottawa and of (the late) Randy Smallwood (Valerie) of London. Dear grandmother of Chelsea (Mehrtash), Megan, Bryden (Sofia), Jeffrey (Lindsay), Christopher (Heather), Jessica and great grandmother of Maddy, Owen, Benjamin and Carson. She is survived by her sister Myrtle van den Oetelaar (Ferdi) of Brockville and was predeceased by sister Elizabeth Savoie (Ronald) and brother William Wright. She is also survived by nieces & nephews. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Elliot Lake Fellowship Baptist Church on Monday November 25, 2024 at 11 am, with the Rev. Lloyd Lindsay officiating. Inurnment to follow at Woodlands Cemetery, Elliot Lake. Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
