Lawrence De Young

It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the peaceful passing of their father Lawrence De Young at the St. Joseph's General Hospital in Elliot Lake on Thursday, April 15th, 2021 at the age of 78. Lawrence joins his wife and friend Myrtle who pre-deceased him by 10 days on April 5, 2021. Loving father of Lisa De Young (Kevin), Tammy den Bok (Glenn) & Angel De Young (John) all of Mississauga. Dear grandfather of Chantel, Samantha, Tyler, Noah, step grandfather of Jamie, Luke & great grandfather of Carter. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Gladys DeYoung, he is also survived by his siblings Ronnie (Jean), Bobbie, Dorothy, Linda, Sharon and half brother to Wanda, Cathy and Bernadette. Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. A private visitation will be held at the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre (36 Ontario Ave) with the service on Tuesday, April 20 from the funeral home. Private interment to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Thornhill, ON. Memorial contributions to the Elliot Lake Foodbank would be appreciated by the family
