Suffern, Glen Edward - It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Glen at home in Blind River on January 17, 2023 at the age of 70 years.
Loving husband of 40 years to Yvonne Suffern (nee Poliquin) of Blind River, father of Shane (Stephanie) and grandfather to Shaunan May. Dear brother of Vernon (Betty), Bruce (Evelyn), Barry (Debbie), Edith Whitlelaw (Robert), Patricia Morrell (Al) and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Dear brother in law of Pierre (Yvonne), Daniel (Connie), Michel (Connie) and Suzanne (Ed). Glen had a special bond with his neighbor Destiny Jacques and they shared many conversations and laughs over the years and he will be missed. Glen will also be sorely missed by his fur babies Peanut, Maggie and Shanelle.
An avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt Glen could be seen wearing hunter orange even when not in season. Quiet and unassuming, he was always in the background and he will be missed by those who knew him.
A memorial gathering and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 between the hours of 1 - 4pm at the Emmanuel Baptist Church (Highway 17), Blind River.
Those wanting to honor Glen's memory are asked to do an act of kindness and if wishing memorial contribution to Furever Homes and Lodging
