Fernand (Fern) (Fern) Gauthier

It is with heavy heart that the family announces the sudden passing of Fernand Napoleon Gauthier, age 71, peacefully in his sleep on November 20, 2023 at his home in Elliot Lake.

Pre-deceased by his wife Patricia Gauthier, he is survived by his son Fern Gauthier (Lori), his step-daughters Cindy and Barb (Philip), his grandchildren Emma, Andrew, Shawn and Johnathan. Dear friend of Sheila and her grandchildren Noah and Adam. Pre-deceased by his adoptive parents Ferdinand and Rhea Gauthier and birth mother Gertrude Laplante he is survived by his sister Evelyn (Leo Paul), Bernice (late Richard), Barbara, the late Pauline and uncle to Dennis (Amanda), Patrick (Lisa), Paul (Roberta), Jean-Paul (Taina), Marc (Tiffany), Jason (Dani) as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Former partner of Sharon Gauthier (Oliver Dupuis) & dear brother in law to Susan (late Maurice) and family members, Claude, Maurice (Pam), Amber (Lee) and their children Blake and Kallie.

Owner of Fern's Carpet Warehouse in Blind River, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Ste. Bernadette's Parish, Elliot Lake Monday, November 27, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow.
