Hennessey, Elijah Caden
Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly with Mommy and Daddy by his side at the Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto on Thursday July 31, 2025 at the age of 7. Elijah is survived by Mommy Jessie, Dad Thomas, Big Sister Shannon, Little Brother Caleb, Grandma Darla, Grandpa Howie, Aunty Trina, Uncle Jeff, cousins Camryn, Abigail (Noah) and Evelyn (John). He is also survived by uncle Jordan (Gee), as well as friends like Aunty Dina, Uncle Trevor, Uncle Mike, Sandy & Dave & family, many great aunts, uncles, cousins and predeceased by his Grandma Val. Elijah will be sadly missed by his Sick Kids family, the 4D and Cardiac Critical care nurses, as well as staff at Sick Kids Hospital. The family invites close friends to a PRIVATE visitation on Wednesday August 6, 2025 from 2 to 4 pm, followed by a PUBLIC evening visitation from 6 to 9 pm, at the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre (36 Ontario Avenue). A Celebration of Life, inviting Elijah’s friends and the community, will be held on Saturday August 9, 2025 from 11am to 1 pm at the Collins Hall, followed by a BBQ at Westview Park in Elliot Lake, including Elijah’s favorite food and music, where there will be fun for the kids, a gift from Elijah for all the children, his schoolmates and their families, as well as rock painting for Elijah’s rock garden that the family want to create. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Elijah, donations to carry on Elijah’s legacy, where his family wishes to bring joy to children needing medical treatment can be made to the St. Joseph’s Foundation of Elliot Lake (St. Joseph’s General Hospital - In memory of Elijah).
