It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Don McDaniel on June 27, 2023 at the age of 82. Don had a great wit, an exceptional memory, loved a good party and the company of family and friends.

Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife Doreen (nee Courie), his children Rick (Jen), Jo-Anne (Robert), and David (Patty). His grandchildren Ryan, Jordan, Emma (Jamie), Alex (Celeste), Bee, Shannon (Richard), Colin (Hanna), Grace, Kevin, and his great grandson Luke. Don is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Bernice, and his brother Bill.

Don was a wonderful father and husband, who will be missed greatly by all who knew him. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the exceptional nursing staff at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake and Doctors DeBortoli, Sterling and Wannan for their unwavering care, compassion and support of Don. Their dedication, and expertise provided comfort not only to him but also to his family who found solace in their professionalism and kindness.

Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day.

Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed, and very dear.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. The Family will be arranging a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorial contributions to St. Joseph's Foundation of Elliot Lake would be appreciated by the family
