Donald Bruce Metherel

Metherel, Donald Bruce - Born in Newmarket, ON on May 25, 1931, he passed away at the St. Joseph's General Hospital in Elliot Lake on October 31, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Survived by his loving wife Viola Elizabeth Metherel (nee Kinney). Don was an avid gardener, enjoyed fishing and loved to travel. He will be sadly missed by his children Delbert (Dawn) Metherel of ON, Gerald (Barb) Metherel of ON, Linda (Jim) Dunn of ON and step children Donald Wortman (Alice) of NB, Velma Wortman (Harold) of SK, the late Stephen Wortman (Judy) of NB, Diane Holley (Art) of ON, Greg Wortman (Francine) of SK, Gary Wortman of NB and Mariel McArthur (Chris) of AB. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held in Beaverton, ON at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
