Ronald Alexander (Ron) Counsell

Counsell, Ronald Alexander (Nov. 4, 1946 – June 22, 2018)
Suddenly and peacefully, Ron went into the arms of Jesus on June 22, 2018 at St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake. Ron is survived by his loving wife Gloria, his sister Kathy (Gary) of St. Catharines and his step daughter Sylvie Goupil. He was a step grandfather to eleven step grandchildren and a step great grandfather to four step great grandchildren. Ron was predeceased by his parents Winnifred and Alexander Counsell. He will be sadly missed by all his friends at the Renaissance Senior Centre, Royal Canadian Legion, his Amateur Radio Family and his two cats, Butterscotch and Buggsy. Special thanks go out to Dr. Perlis of Toronto General Hospital, Dr. Wannan and Dr. Long of St. Joseph’s General Hospital. Thank you also to all the nurses and staff. A celebration of life and service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church on Thursday June 28, 2018 at 2 pm, located at 110 Hillside Dr. S. (corner of Hillside Dr. S & Roman Ave). Remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated if so desired.
